THE ROLE

Open Bionics is looking for an experienced Community Manager to join our team! The Community Manager will be responsible for developing, creating, and sharing fun content that is on brand across multiple channels. You will communicate with our active audience and keep them up-to-date with the latest news from Open Bionics and the wider prosthetics and Tech for Good industry. Our audience is full of people who are interested in bionics, robotics, tech for good, assistive devices, healthcare, and futurism. You will share these interests and be a thought leader in this space.

Your duties

  • Create and execute a multi-channel community strategy that helps grow a recognisable brand

  • Create content and engaging campaigns which delights audiences

  • Develop all channels as thought leaders

  • Responsible for managing and executing daily community outreach activities, including email, social media (eg. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, SnapChat) blogs and forums

  • Create reporting tools/dashboard that monitors all activities and provide the business with daily/weekly/monthly updates; make recommendations based on data analytics and insight

  • Support activities at key events - press, community, trade

  • Responsible for ensuring all messaging is "on-brand" and adheres to agreed tone of voice

  • Act as key contact with consumers and assist with any problem solving or issue resolution, in a professional and timely manner

  • Assist in the creation of engaging content that promotes the brand and drives retention

  • Create & manage Content Marketing calendar

  • Assist with developing research & insight to support the business

  • Keeping up to date on all current trends to ensure that our brands are ahead of the curve

  • Participate in additional projects and other ad hoc requirements for the Marketing team

  • Work with the marketing manager and director to build creative campaigns

  • Having developed and worked on viral international campaigns is advantageous

  • Create monthly data reports using social insight tools

  • Use monthly data deep dives to inform longer term social strategies

  • Track record of consistent success in building communities/fan base on a national / global basis

  • Expert in the cradle to grave management of all social media channels - deep understanding of each platform, audiences and how to build & engage with them

THE ROLE

We are seeking a software engineer to work with us on a variety of projects. The role will include full system development across multiple product lines. Typically starting by specifying a system with the rest of the engineering team, working closely with our electronics engineers and our other embedded software engineers, prototyping the designs and then testing them with users of the product.

Requirements

  • Minimum BSc/BEng in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar discipline.

  • Working knowledge of C, C++, Python.

  • Basic UX and UI design experience.

  • Industry experience implementing a full software life cycle.

  • Experience designing full embedded software systems including system architecture design, sensor integration, memory management.

The Role

Your role will be to oversee the digital marketing strategy for the company including management of the company’s website, together with all digital communications.

The DMM will be responsible for composing and activating all digital marketing strategies and for measuring the efficiency, accuracy, and reach across all digital channels, producing regular reports for both the line manager and the board. The DMM will work with the Sales Manager to identify opportunities and create new strategies. In addition, the DMM will work with corporate partners to sign-off on planned advertising campaigns.

Open Bionics is looking for a great digital marketing manager with the mindset of a results-driven, scrappy hacker.  

Your responsibilities will include:

  •       Devising strategies to drive online traffic to the company website.

  •       Tracking conversion rates and making improvements to the website.

  •       Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns.

  •       Utilising a range of techniques including paid search, SEO, and PPC.

The Role:

We’re a small team of six that can offer an extremely rewarding job, both in terms of content and environment by working to create advanced and affordable bionic limbs for people with limb differences.

The successful applicant will work closely with our mechanical engineering team and amputee volunteers to develop a product line of bionic limbs. You will be excited about the future of prosthetics and orthotics, and be willing to experiment with fitting and supplying techniques. We are particular interested to work with people who have had a lot of clinic time with upper-limb patients. Together, we will design new sockets that are comfortable, light, flexible, stylish, fast to print, and most importantly; a great fit!

It’s important that the candidate is full of energy and enthusiasm for the work they do, and for the work we do. We are looking to hire someone who works well independently and within a small team. Ideally, the candidate will be attracted to the idea of working with an ambitious engineering team to improve prosthesis design.
